Our Namibian baskets are one of a kind art pieces handmade in the Kavango Region of Northern Namibia. This basket is woven from palm shoots that have been harvested sustainably. The palm separated into strips that are hand dyed from natural substances. The artisan then begins the basket, wrapping the palm around a small bundle of dried grass as she weaves. The completion of a single basket can take 3-6 weeks. Each is unique incorporating exquisite traditional designs. These pieces are priced, on-site, according to size, quality, and overall design. This basket will be a treasure for years to come.
